Diagnostic Sentences
for Intermediate and Advanced Levels

To prepare for your Free Diagnostic Lesson, please look over the following sentences and practice saying them as many times as you like. You can print out this page from the web site to have a copy handy for your lesson. Click on this highlighted sentence when you are ready to return to the Free Diagnostic Lesson page.

If you have difficulty printing out the sentences directly from the web site, highlight them and then copy and paste them into a word processing program on your computer. You can then easily print them out.

When you are ready for your first lesson, you will be asked to say each sentence loudly and clearly at least twice. When you have finished all the sentences, you will be asked to repeat them all in succession.

l. Bonjour. Permettez-moi de me présenter. Je m'appelle __(fill in your name)__.

2. J'aime beaucoup la langue française.

3. Nous sommes en mil neuf cent quatre-vingt-dix-huit.

4. Hier j'ai vu deux soeurs qui s'appellent Jeanne et Martine.

5. Elles veulent savoir si tu pourras venir cette nuit.

6. Est-ce que c'est elle que vous avez reconnue au restaurant lundi?

7. Comment est-ce qu'ils ont pu se débrouiller?

8. Dînerez-vous au bistrot ou ferez-vous la cuisine?
